Yamaura Stay is more than a lodging. It is an authentic rural village experience. Our four spacious farmhouses are in the Yamaura, a quaint rural area perched in the foothills of the Yatsugatake Mountains, where they stand at the center of real farming villages brimming with life. You simply need to take one step out of the house to see locals at work in the fields or admire a scenic mountain view.
How deep you want to take your experience is up to you. The farmhouses are completely private, which means you can enjoy the freedom of your own house. You can decide whether to spend time with the locals and engage in some hand-on activities, or to relax inside the house and enjoy the rural scenery.

The original aesthetics and the charm borne from the passing of the years, though, are left intact. The renovation design accents the timeless beauty of the farmhouse architectural features such as the massive and solid beams, the luster of the pillars blackened by the smoke from the irori and the decorative alcoves.
